First Resourcing Assignment

This week I have been going through a shortlist I made on our large internal database, to try and find suitable candidates for a role we are recruiting for. This is a very urgent role due to our client needing a candidate as soon as possible.
Our client is within the FMCG industry so the candidate needs to have experience with fast moving machinery and can also have experience in the packaging, food or beverage industry.

The candidate will have to be a contract worker or someone looking for short term work, if they are working in a permanent role at the moment they tend not to be interested but there may always be a chance of them being interested. The candidates also need to be an electrically biased engineer because this is what our client is looking for, and will also need to be willing to work a continental shift (4 on 4 off, 2 days 2 nights).
It’s been really hard to find a suitable candidate because most people aren’t looking for work or are working a permanent role. I have made many calls and managed to find some suitable candidates and then I discuss the role in more detail with them and see if they want their application sent over.

I myself am really enjoying this sort of work, there is a sense of satisfaction when a perfect candidate is found and our client comes back very positively on their CV.
