Client Visits.

In recruitment it’s vastly important to go out and meet with your clients and building that rapport from the offset. I met this week with a fantastic client of ours in Yorkshire of whom we have built a very good relationship up with since I gained the contract back in the spring, to discuss their need for quality personnel for their high speed manufacturing site. Here at Citizen we are food, beverage and FMCG specialists, especially in fields such as engineering so visiting the site is crucial to really get to grips with machinery there and to find the right personality fit that would merge into the work ethics of the company seamlessly.

Very positive discussions ensued about the direction of the company, growth plans for the future and their recruitment needs for the site at present. Getting to grips with the site was why I was there of course so having a look around the factory was high on my priority list under the stewardship of the Site manager I was given a factory tour and every part of the site and machinery was explained to me in great detail so I could cross reference my candidates on their ability on each every bit of apparatus onsite.

Being food and beverage recruitment specialists and gaining candidates great careers in these areas across the UK, we understand a great deal about operating systems and certain manufacturing operations, but every site does things differently and that’s why this job can throw so many curve balls at you. I saw more fantastic and eye opening machines, that had been designed onsite by the very people that worked there and if I hadn’t gone to see them it would have left my candidate blind on what sort of questions he/she may be asked in interview.

I can’t stress how important it was to go out and build that relationship with our client, it’s always better putting a face to a name, and in turn the relationship between you and your client becomes more personable and comfortable.
